Editorial Reviews

I love this series. Dreamland is a fantastic next stage in Joss and Ali's life. Rose does a great job of giving the right amount of information...not over-the-top descriptive, she hits all the stuff that is important. I'm super excited that I can't tell where it's going next, but I have hunches that I can't wait to see come true...or not. Can't wait for the next one!! (The end of this book really did bring tears to my eyes, which doesn't often happen in zombie novels)

The Phoenix Curse saga just keeps getting better and better! I found Dreamland so much better than I expected. And after reading the first trilogy I had high expectations, but I did not foresee how different this new installment would be. Parts of this book kept me awake way past my bedtime, kept me reading while making the line at the sandwich shop! The world is not as hopeless as we first believed in After. Ali, Joss, Stephanie and Hope are finally safe in Dreamland, but understandably they don't feel safe yet. As they try to settle in, we meet new friends and foes and some new skills!! I love action but I also really enjoy well narrated descriptions of mundane activities and character building. Makes the story come alive in my head. But before I could get too comfortable in this cozy new world, bam! Crazy zombies and flying bodies and bullets and freakin dual wielding scimitars!! Will keep you glued to the screen (or paper, or media of choice). The story veers off to new areas but it also nicely ties back to the hotel and the events of Hotel. Which I totally loved. I always wanted to know what happened to Hawk and the kids. And I'm so looking forward to Haven!
